Yet, just because it did open the file doesn’t mean Affinity will support everything from another software platform. That answers the biggest question as we have to play with others in the sandbox. This means there isn’t much of a drop off if you have your customer sending you a file in Photoshop or Illustrator. I tested a random assortment of files and it didn’t have any major issues. The first thing I learned is that on a general workflow basis, all the usual file types can be opened in Affinity. Sorry if that’s your cup of tea and you need that info. I’m interested to learn why! Mainly because I simply didn’t know where the tools were located, or how to do a technique that I could do in my sleep in Photoshop, accomplished in Affinity.
